Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4 / National Senior Certificate or equivalent) – essential.
• Medically fit to work in underground mining operations.
• Clear security screening record.
• Valid driver’s licence (if applicable).
• Relevant experience in a mining or related environment will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

As a Learner Miner, you will:

Programme Objectives

• Understand and commit to the objectives of the learnership.
• Successfully complete all training modules within the specified timeframe.
• Escalate any queries or concerns timeously.
• Strictly adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

• Comply with all legal and safety requirements at all times.
• Use prescribed safety equipment and follow training instructions.
• Attend SHE meetings as required.
• Identify hazardous situations and participate in on-the-job risk assessments.

Reporting

• Compile and submit developmental progress reports.
• Report inconsistencies, obstacles, ideas, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

Pre-screening and psychometric evaluations may form part of the selection process. Shortlisted candidates will attend a panel interview.
