Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for the following core duties (among others):

• Prevent and deter crime and security incidents by enforcing legislation and Sibanye-Stillwater policies, procedures, and rules.
• Monitor and protect company assets and employees at various operations where SPS is deployed.
• Utilise Control Room systems effectively (CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, X-Ray viewing, access control, intercom, radio, and telephone systems).
• Detect incidents of risk, breaches of procedures, and policy violations through constant monitoring.
• Guide response teams to incidents in progress and provide real-time updates to enhance their safety and arrest success.
• Maintain strong observation skills to identify irregularities and potential security breaches.
• Operate under pressure while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
• Display attention to detail and precision in all tasks.
• Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and ethical conduct at all times.
• Perform daily risk assessments where required.
• Ensure safe production through proactive security measures.
• Deliver against set operational parameters and daily shift tasks.
• Report on safety and operational requirements effectively.

Minimum Requirements

• NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent).
• Valid PSIRA Grade C certificate (compulsory).
• Knowledge of various Control Room systems (CCTV, alarms, X-Ray, access control, etc.).
• Computer literacy (MS Office package).
• Valid driver’s licence (advantageous).
• Medically fit to work in a mining environment.
• Clear security screening record.
• Strong observation skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Sound knowledge of Control Room operations.
• Basic understanding of camera technology and mining/production processes.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
