Job Purpose & Key Responsibilities

The main purpose of the Salesman Driver role is to ensure service delivery and bakery sales growth through on-time and in-full deliveries, payment collection, and effective management of bakery sales assets on a daily basis.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Executing daily delivery routes efficiently and safely to meet customer requirements.
• Loading and offloading baked goods while maintaining product quality and freshness.
• Promoting Premier products and securing additional sales opportunities at customer sites.
• Building and maintaining strong, long-term trade relationships with retailers and spaza shops.
• Collecting payments accurately and reconciling daily takings according to company procedures.
• Managing bakery sales assets (crates, trays, etc.) and ensuring minimal losses.
• Completing all required sales and delivery documentation accurately and on time.
• Identifying and reporting any customer feedback, market trends, or competitor activity.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the company vehicle at all times.
• Adhering to all road safety rules, company policies, and health & safety standards.
• Working flexible hours, including Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays as per business needs.
• Supporting the team by working in alternative areas when required by operational demands.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

• Matric / Grade 12 qualification (essential).

Driver Requirements:

• 1–3 years’ experience in sales or retail environment (advantageous).
