Detailed Duties and Responsibilities As a Room Attendant, your work will focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest comfort. Key responsibilities include: Cleaning guest rooms and chalets thoroughly, including changing bed linen, sweeping, mopping or vacuuming floors, and polishing furniture. Emptying trash containers and ensuring proper waste disposal. Cleaning public areas, including lobbies, corridors, and common spaces. Reporting any abnormalities, damages, or maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly. Controlling inventory items (toiletries, linen, amenities) and ensuring chalets are properly stocked. Assisting in the laundry when necessary (washing, ironing, and storing linen). Delivering high-quality service with a commitment to continuous improvement. Managing customer expectations and addressing needs in a timely, professional manner. Evaluating and responding to customer feedback to enhance service. Helping with general housekeeping duties across the hotel and chalets. Complying with all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations. Working shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required to support hotel operations. Assisting in other departments when requested by management. Requirements for the Room Attendant Position Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 or NVC Level 4 qualification. 1–2 years’ work experience in public cleaning or a tourism/hospitality environment. Knowledge of First Aid and hygiene practices. Understanding of English. Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks. Punctual, neat, and responsible.
