Detailed Duties and Responsibilities

Road Workers (X63 Posts)

As a Road Worker, your role will be hands-on and physically active. Key duties include:

• Road patching, pothole repairs, and general road maintenance.
• Bush clearing, grass cutting, and roadside cleaning.
• Erecting and maintaining road signs and safety equipment.
• Cleaning and maintaining drainage systems to prevent flooding.

• Loading and offloading construction materials.
• Grading, surfacing, and maintaining gravel and tarred roads.
• Inspecting, cleaning, and performing basic maintenance on machinery.
• Completing daily log sheets and equipment registers.
• Transporting materials between sites.
• Supporting road construction and rehabilitation projects.
• Ensuring all operations comply with safety regulations.
• Training and mentoring Road Workers where required.

Minimum Requirements

For Road Workers:

• Grade 10 Certificate (or higher).
• No previous experience required – training will be provided.
