Detailed Duties and Responsibilities

As a Road Sign Assembler, your work will be practical and production-focused. Key responsibilities include:

• Assembling road signs according to design specifications and standards.
• Binding panels and ensuring materials are correctly attached.
• Laying out panels in line with approved designs and measurements.
• Cutting and binding plates, boards, and channels for mounting signs.
• Performing quality control checks at every stage of production.
• Packing completed road signs securely for transportation.
• Loading signs onto vehicles according to safety and transportation prescripts.
• Maintaining accurate records of daily production and materials used.
• Completing daily returns, logs, and administrative documentation.
• Preparing material requests to ensure optimal stock levels.
• Operating machinery, tools, and spray-painting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and manufacturing procedures.
• Assisting with general factory maintenance and housekeeping.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 10 certificate (or equivalent/higher qualification) recognised by SAQA.

• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
