Job Purpose

The main purpose of this position is to support the Production Department in meeting its daily production targets and planned production requirements.

The General Worker will also help ensure that product quality is maintained throughout the production process and that company requirements relating to food safety, hygiene, housekeeping and health and safety are followed.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to perform various duties within the production environment, including:

• Supporting daily production activities and targets.
• Helping maintain consistent product quality.
• Ensuring that the integrity of products is not compromised.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Following company rules, policies and procedures.
• Following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Adhering to food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.
• Assisting with the planned maintenance of assigned equipment and assets.
• Completing required production administration and records.
• Maintaining accurate records where required.
• Supporting production efficiencies and continuous improvement.
• Communicating effectively with supervisors and management.
• Reporting production, safety or equipment-related issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Working cooperatively with other production team members.
