Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for the following core duties (among others):

• Safely transport patients from registration points to various clinical areas within the hospital using wheelchairs, stretchers, or walking assistance.
• Transport corpses from wards to the mortuary with dignity, care, and adherence to protocols (where applicable).
• Assist with transporting patients to and from ambulances and private vehicles.
• Clean and disinfect stretchers, wheelchairs, and other equipment after each use to maintain hygiene standards.
• Ensure patients are moved comfortably and safely, showing empathy and respect at all times.
• Provide general support to nursing and clinical staff as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly working environment in corridors and patient transport areas.
• Report any equipment faults, damages, or safety concerns promptly to the supervisor.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control policies at all times.
• Work cooperatively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient flow.
