The role involves maintaining a clean and neat store according to Dis-Chem’s hygienic standards, covering areas such as the store floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen. Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 / Matric Minimum of 6 months’ cleaning experience Sound command of the English language Basic customer service skills Additional language that is area-specific Willing and able to work retail hours Advantageous: Bilingual Previous retail store cleaning experience Job Specification: Ensure daily high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store, shop floor, and communal areas before opening. Develop routines to maintain all areas to a high standard of cleanliness. Keep the canteen and restrooms clean and stocked with necessary products. Be available during operational hours to clean as required. Use correct cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks. Ensure the wet floor sign is visible when cleaning the floor. Provide friendly, professional assistance to customers. Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations.
