Key Performance Areas

Successful candidates will be responsible for the following core duties (among others):

  • Work with a cross-functional team to complete a Work Integrated Learning project as assigned by your Line Manager.
  • Attain on-the-job work experience aligned with your qualification and career aspirations.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
  • Support teams in project work and day-to-day farm operations.
  • Participate in crop production activities, including planting, irrigation, pest management, and harvesting.
  • Assist with irrigation system maintenance and monitoring.
  • Help with general farm maintenance and record-keeping.
  • Contribute to sustainable farming practices and environmental management.
  • Learn about quality control, traceability, and food safety standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a South African citizen under the age of 35.
  • Must be registered or planning to register for the final year of a National Diploma: Agriculture (Crop Production) or National Diploma: Agriculture (Irrigation Systems) at a recognised higher education institution in South Africa in 2026.
  • Work Integrated Learning (WIL) must be a compulsory requirement for the completion of the qualification. Applicants must attach an academic record and an official letter from their educational institution confirming the WIL requirement.
  • Have not worked full-time (more than 1 year) in their field of study.
  • Should be based in the city of hire (Pretoria North / Gauteng area).
