Job Purpose

To ensure that all aspects of the Promix department and packing operations are attended to according to safety standards and operational requirements. As a General Worker Stacker, you will manually handle materials, stack and palletise finished products, inspect for quality, and assist with general physical labour to keep production running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

As a General Worker Stacker at Premier Kroonstad Mill, your daily duties will include:

• Manually remove materials and products from machines and equipment.
• Stack and palletise finished cases on appropriate pallets according to specifications.
• Inspect materials and products for defects and report any issues immediately.
• Date code each case with the proper manufacturing product sticker.
• Participate in any physical labour work required, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy loads (up to ±25kg).
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
• Fill out finished goods tickets with all required information in a neat and accurate manner.
• Produce quality stacked products consistently.
• Assist maintenance teams with basic troubleshooting when required.
• Check all bottom and end seals for quality.
• Perform sanitation duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental standards in the milling environment.
• Work efficiently with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and concentration.
• Support the team during peak production periods and overtime when necessary.

The role involves working in a hot, noisy milling environment and requires the ability to stand for long hours and perform repetitive physical tasks.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric – essential.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience as a stacker or in a similar physical role.
• 1 year milling industry experience will be an advantage.
• Good level of physical fitness and ability to lift heavy loads.
• Ability to work shifts, including after hours and overtime.
• Reliable and committed to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
