Job Purpose

The primary purpose of the General Worker Bread Packer is to execute full and on-time daily production targets in the bakery while ensuring the integrity, quality, and safety of every product is never compromised. You will work as part of a dedicated team to maintain high housekeeping standards, adhere to all company rules and procedures, and contribute to a safe and efficient production environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Bread Packer, your daily duties will include:

• Product Quality Maintenance: Carefully pack bread and baked goods according to quality standards, ensuring correct labelling, stacking, and presentation.
• Housekeeping and Hygiene: Maintain exceptionally high housekeeping standards at all times, including cleaning workstations, equipment, and surrounding areas to comply with food safety regulations.
• Production Efficiencies: Support the achievement of daily output targets by working efficiently and collaborating with the production team.
• Safety and Compliance: Strictly adhere to all company health and safety policies, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following SOPs.
• Planned Maintenance Support: Assist with basic cleaning and care of assigned assets and equipment.

• Continuous Improvement: Participate in team efforts to identify and implement improvements in processes, safety, and efficiency.

You will operate in a hot manufacturing environment and must be physically fit to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification.

Experience:

• 2–3 years relevant experience in a production or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Previous experience in bread packing, food production, or general factory work will be a strong plus.
• Proven track record of effective communication with supervisors and management.
