Detailed Key Responsibilities As a Cleaner, your core duties will include, but are not limited to: Cleaning offices daily, including dusting and waxing office furniture, sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors. Vacuuming and shampooing carpets and floors to maintain a professional appearance. Cleaning walls, windows, doors, and other surfaces thoroughly. Emptying and cleaning dirt bins and waste containers regularly. Cleaning restrooms daily, including toilets, basins, mirrors, and floors. Replacing toilet paper and other consumables as needed. Emptying and washing waste bins in kitchens and common areas. Cleaning corridors, elevators, and passages to ensure safe and welcoming pathways. Keeping and maintaining cleaning materials and equipment in good condition. Reporting broken or faulty cleaning materials and equipment to the supervisor promptly. Cleaning machines such as microwaves, vacuum cleaners, and other kitchen equipment after use. Performing general housekeeping tasks to support a healthy and organised working environment. Adhering to occupational health and safety protocols at all times. Working collaboratively with other support staff to achieve overall facility cleanliness targets. Assisting with any ad-hoc cleaning or support tasks as requested by supervisors. The role involves physical work and may require early morning or extended hours to ensure minimal disruption to office operations. Minimum Requirements ABET / AET / Grade 10 qualification as recognised by SAQA. Sound knowledge of housekeeping and cleaning practices. Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment safely.
