Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Tiler, you will be responsible for planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks. Your main duties will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks as allocated.
• Preparing surfaces, measuring, cutting, installing, and grouting tiles on floors and walls.
• Repairing, replacing, sealing, and waterproofing tiled surfaces.
• Estimating material requirements and completing job check sheets accurately.
• Maintaining a safe working environment and complying with ISO and SHEQ standards at all times.
• Completing approximately four work orders per day while upholding quality standards.
• Ensuring all work is performed efficiently, safely, and to the required specifications.
• Reporting any defects, hazards, or additional maintenance needs promptly.
• Collaborating with the maintenance team to meet client expectations.
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy after completion of tasks.
• Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.

You will work on various client sites, ensuring high standards of workmanship in tiling and general maintenance.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ practical tiling experience.
• Working knowledge of general building and maintenance trades.

• Strong tiling and surface preparation skills.
• Good understanding of tools, materials, and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and manage daily workload effectively.
