💼 R193 359 – R227 766 per annum

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate or equivalent qualification

  • Appropriate experience as a Telecom Operator or Switchboard Operator

  • Experience working in a professional office or government environment will be an advantage

Candidates must demonstrate strong abilities in the following areas:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Computer literacy, particularly MS Office (Word, Outlook)

  • Strong interpersonal and public relations skills

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all telecom and switchboard operations within the office. Key Performance Areas include:

☎️ Call Handling and Switchboard Operations

  • Handling incoming and outgoing telephone calls

  • Transferring calls accurately to relevant officials

  • Taking, recording, and conveying messages timeously and accurately

  • Ensuring professional and courteous communication at all times

🕘 Switchboard Management

  • Ensuring that the switchboard is manned at all times during office hours

  • Monitoring call flow and prioritising urgent or official calls

  • Maintaining effective communication between internal and external stakeholders

📂 Administrative & Support Duties

  • Assisting with document management related to call records

  • Providing general support duties as required by management

  • Attending to any other reasonable tasks assigned within the office
