Job Purpose

As a Sales Assistant, you will deliver outstanding customer service, drive sales, maintain excellent store standards, and help create an unforgettable shopping experience for every Crocs fan. You will play a key role in achieving daily sales targets, managing inventory, and representing the brand with energy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales:

• Acknowledge every customer within 30 seconds of entering the store.
• Deliver excellent customer service by following Crocs customer service procedures.
• Understand customer needs and use product knowledge to recommend the perfect styles.
• Close sales effectively and secure meaningful add-on sales.
• Turn every customer into a loyal Crocs fan by inviting them back.
• Promote current promotions and new arrivals enthusiastically.

Inventory & Stock Management:

• Replenish footwear, apparel, and accessories from the storeroom daily.
• Minimise shrinkage through proper zoning, customer acknowledgment, and adherence to changing room policies.
• Ensure all stock entries in the POS system are accurate.
• Process deliveries efficiently — check quantities against invoices, tag, hang, price products, and record in the system.
• Process customer orders and special requests promptly.

Daily Operations & Housekeeping:

• Maintain high standards of store housekeeping daily (dusting, cleaning mirrors, vacuuming, emptying bins, tidying change rooms, and clearing counters).
• Assist the manager with opening and closing procedures.
• Keep the store visually appealing and fully stocked at all times.

Training & Personal Development:

• Take ownership of your training and development.
• Work closely with your assigned buddy to learn store processes.
• Attend quarterly training sessions and complete all assessments.
• Receive and act on monthly feedback from your manager.
• Participate in monthly progress meetings using the Crocs Rookie Pack.

Merchandising:

• Maintain excellent stock presentation according to Crocs visual standards.
• Ensure correct sizing and replenishment on the sales floor.
• Assist with window displays and mannequin changes every two weeks.
• Protect POS materials and marketing assets from damage.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent – essential.
• Minimum 1 year customer service or retail experience.
• Crocs product knowledge is advantageous.
• Able to work flexible retail shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Passion for retail, fashion, and customer service.
• Energetic, positive attitude and strong team player.
• Good communication skills in English (additional languages advantageous).
