Salary: R155,148 per annum
Centre: Mowbray Maternity Hospital

Requirements:

• Minimum Requirement: Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Experience: Appropriate experience working in a milk kitchen within a hospital environment
• Inherent Requirements:
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Ability to rotate between workstations within the Feed Prep unit
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (supplies and prepared bottles) and stand for long periods
• Competencies:
  • Ability to prepare formula feeds according to instructions
  • Knowledge and skills to operate and clean service equipment
  • Sound understanding of a Feed Prep environment
  • Good interpersonal skills

Duties:

• Prepare, store, and distribute formula feeds
• Manage resource usage effectively and report broken equipment
• Pasteurize donated expressed breast milk and handle issuing
• Maintain hygiene and follow safety protocols for equipment use
• Assist in training new employees in the Feed Prep area
