Experience: Relevant experience operating a high-volume switchboard in a hospital environment, including messaging and paging systems. Inherent Requirements: Willingness to work shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Ability to work overtime when needed for operational requirements. Physically capable of hearing and speaking clearly. Competencies (Knowledge/Skills): Effective communication skills (verbal and written). Strong interpersonal abilities. Excellent telephone etiquette. Proficiency in computer literacy (MS Office: Word and Excel). Experience with electronic switchboards and paging systems. Knowledge of alarm systems related to switchboard operations. DUTIES Telecommunication: Manage telecommunication tasks, including paging, handling, and answering calls. Maintain the hospital’s internal telephone directory. Report all faults and technical issues to the supervisor promptly. Ensure the switchboard and telephone equipment are functioning properly.
