Purpose of the Role
To accurately handle all Point of Sale (POS) transactions and related documentation — ensuring customer satisfaction and preventing any unpaid goods from passing through checkout.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 or 1 year of work-related experience
-
Able to communicate in English and the local dominant language
-
Basic calculation skills
-
Strong administration skills
-
Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
-
Able to work under pressure
⚙️ Key Performance Areas
Cash Handling
-
Balance all allocated cash (floats, petty cash)
-
Capture goods and payment types correctly on the POS system
-
Maintain sufficient change
-
Complete accurate pick-ups and cash-ups
-
Drop all daily takings in the safe/vault
-
Process other store transactions, deliveries, and quotes properly
️ Administration

Sign, compile, and file all cashier-related documents
Ready for Business

Follow “Ready for Business” and “Beyond My Control” procedures per The CB Way
Customer Service

Deliver fast, friendly service

Direct customers to the right person for assistance

Comply with company dress code

Ensure OHSA compliance for staff and customer safety

Report any discrepancies to the Store Manager

Follow Cashbuild’s security protocols (password control, safe cash handling, etc.)
