This role focuses on strengthening and expanding the partnership with Rohlig Grindrod, managing a joint portfolio of clients who utilise RTT’s warehousing and distribution capabilities. As the Partner: Relationship, you will serve as the primary commercial interface, ensuring seamless service delivery, driving organic growth, and unlocking new opportunities. This is a high-impact position where you will combine relationship management, commercial negotiation, and operational coordination to deliver value for both partners and their shared clients. Job Purpose To manage and grow the RTT partnership client portfolio by acting as the primary commercial point of contact. You will ensure effective onboarding, ongoing service excellence, retention, organic growth, and profitability while expanding the partnership offering to new clients and prospects. Key Responsibilities Manage the joint portfolio of clients using RTT warehousing and distribution services; act as the primary commercial interface between partners and clients. Coordinate seamless onboarding, implementation, and ongoing delivery to consistently meet SLAs and exceed customer expectations. Grow existing accounts through proactive upselling and cross-selling of RTT warehousing, distribution, and value-added services. Develop and close new business opportunities for the partnership; support client acquisition with solution design, pricing inputs, and implementation readiness. Maintain strong partnership governance (communication plans, escalation paths, aligned priorities, and joint action tracking). Manage commercial performance, including rate reviews, contract adherence, profitability analysis, and recovery plans for at-risk accounts. Lead business reviews, KPI forums, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs); track actions and drive continuous improvement across both partners. Maintain CRM hygiene, pipeline management, and structured reporting for portfolio performance and partnership updates to leadership. Build internal capability in partnership selling and joint account management of RTT warehousing and distribution solutions. Deeply understand client operating models to identify enhancements, cost-to-serve improvements, and new value-added opportunities. Drive operational improvements across onboarding, service delivery, reporting, escalation, and billing processes to reduce friction. Standardise partnership governance artefacts (scorecards, QBR templates, issue logs, action trackers). Analyse trends, conduct root-cause analysis on recurring issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions with RTT Operations and client stakeholders. Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across both partners to ensure aligned execution and decision-making. Facilitate governance forums and coordinate client communication for consistency and clear ownership. Manage expectations through forward planning (peaks, changes, projects), risk identification, and mitigation actions. Resolve inter-company and client issues through structured root-cause analysis, escalation, and action planning to protect the client experience.
