Job Description:

Join one of South Africa’s leading homeware and plastics retailers, Mambos Storage & Home. As a Cashier or Shop Assistant, you will enhance the customer experience by operating cash registers, stocking shelves, maintaining the store’s appearance, and providing excellent customer service.

Position Type:

Permanent Flexi (depending on availability and store needs)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Cashier:

• Process customer purchases and operate the cash register.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store and restock shelves.
• Assist customers with their shopping experience and provide exceptional service.
• Provide feedback to management regarding inventory, scanning errors, and other issues.
• Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock for accuracy.
• Follow cash handling policies and procedures.

Shop Assistant:

• Stock shelves according to merchandising planograms.
• Organize new inventory and remove empty boxes.
• Follow safety procedures during restocking and replenishment.
• Keep the store well-organized and tidy.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 qualification
• Prior experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
• Ability to operate a cash register and perform cleaning duties.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and teamwork.
• Knowledge of FMCG or retail store operations is desirable.
