Bidvest Facilities Management (BFM) invites motivated and ambitious young individuals to apply for the Unitary Installer Learnership Programme (NQF Level 2). This 12-month professional learnership is designed to develop competent, entry-level professionals ready to build a career in Facilities Management, HVAC, and related technical service environments.

Purpose of the Learnership

The learnership provides a structured blend of theoretical learning, practical skills development, and supervised workplace experience. It is aligned with the QCTO Occupational Qualification 103269, ensuring that learners receive industry-relevant training that meets national standards.

Upon successful completion, learners will be equipped with essential technical knowledge, workplace competence, and professional confidence to pursue employment opportunities within the facilities and HVAC sector.


What You Will Learn

Throughout the programme, learners will receive comprehensive training that includes:

  • HVAC principles and system fundamentals

  • Installation and commissioning of unitary HVAC systems

  • Occupational Health and Safety practices, including Working at Heights

  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills

  • Correct use of tools and equipment

  • Fault identification and problem-solving techniques

  • Workplace professionalism, compliance, and teamwork

Training is delivered through a combination of classroom-based learning, practical workshops, and supervised on-site workplace experience, ensuring a well-rounded and hands-on learning journey.


Who Can Apply?

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • NQF Level 4, 5, or 6 qualification, OR Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science (compulsory)

  • Aged 18 to 34 years

  • Good physical health suitable for site-based technical work

  • Medically fit, including Working at Heights

  • Comfortable working at heights (training will be provided)

  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems

  • Willingness to learn, use tools, and work with technical equipment

  • Physically able to work in plant rooms, rooftops, and construction environments

  • Ability to follow safety regulations and technical instructions

Certification and Compliance
