Job Purpose

To participate in and successfully complete the Learnership programme for the designated field of expertise. The programme requires on-the-job learning supported by structured institutional training. Key Accountabilities

During the 12-month programme, you will:

• Undergo fitness assessments, including stress and fear evaluations (heights, confined spaces, fire exposure, and cat ladders).

• Contribute to maintaining a zero-harm culture and promoting safety awareness.

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible for the Sasol Learner Fire Fighter Programme 2026, you must meet the following criteria:

• Completed National Senior Certificate (Grade 12 / Matric) with passes in:
  • Technical Mathematics / Mathematics / Maths Literacy
  • English / Business English
  • Technical / Physical Science
• Valid Code B or higher driver’s licence.
• Ability to pass a stress and fear assessment (heights, confined spaces, fire exposure, and cat ladders).
• Ability to pass the Fire Fighter fitness assessment.
• Between 18 and 29 years of age.
• Must reside in the Sasol local communities (Secunda and Sasolburg) – proof of residence required.
