Job Details Position: Cleaner (Ref No: 230625/09) Salary: R138,486 per annum (Level 02) Location: Cradock, Eastern Cape Branch: Water & Sanitation Services Management, Eastern Cape Division: Auxiliary Services, Corporate Support Services Closing Date: 23 July 2025 Requirements To qualify for this Cleaner position, candidates should meet the following criteria: Education: ABET certificate Experience: Cleaning services experience is an added advantage Knowledge: Cleaning principles and chemical use (dilution/mixing) Operation of cleaning equipment Health and safety requirements Basic record-keeping Correct application of safety rules and chemical use Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills Key Responsibilities As a Cleaner, you will: Perform basic cleaning tasks, including dusting, waxing, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming floors Empty and clean waste bins, and remove office waste Maintain and manage cleaning equipment and stock of cleaning materials Freshen offices, boardrooms, working areas, kitchens, and storerooms Clean restrooms, refill hand wash soap, replace paper towels and toilet paper, and empty waste bins Assist with additional duties as required How to Apply Applications must be submitted by 23 July 2025 via: Online: https://erecruitment.dws.gov.za/ Hand Delivery: Department of Water and Sanitation, No. 2 Hargreaves Avenue, Old SABC Building, King William’s Town, 5600 Note: Only shortlisted candidates need to provide copies of qualifications, identity documents, etc., during the interview, per DPSA Circular 19 of 2022.
