Department: Corporate Services – Physical Security & Route Inspection

Branch: Physical Security & Route Inspection

Designation: Mobile Driver

Remuneration: B2

Location: Metrobus

Purpose: Transport Route Inspectors to inspect buses on a daily basis.

Essential Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Code 8/EB Driver’s License or Code C1.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a driver.
• Should be willing to work flexible hours.
• Knowledge of Metrobus routes will be an added advantage.

Key Performance Areas:

• Operate the vehicle in a professional manner.
• Ensure that the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in roadworthy condition.
• Daily pre-trip inspection of the vehicle by checking brakes, lights, and any damages.
• Ensure availability for the shift at the determined time.
• Report promptly for the shift to perform pre-check inspection and other administrative duties.
• Drive the vehicle professionally to promote the company’s image.
• Drive the vehicle with respect and courtesy to other road users.
