1. Housekeeping Supervisor (X3 Posts)

• Salary: R183 279 per annum
• Centre: Groote Schuur Hospital, Observatory

Requirements:

• Minimum educational qualification: General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std 7).
• Appropriate cleaning/housekeeping, terminal cleaning, stock control, linen management, and waste management experience in a hospital environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning/housekeeping policies, infection prevention control measures, terminal cleaning, and equipment usage.

Duties:

• Organize and supervise linen, waste management, hygiene services, terminal cleaning, contract management, and stock control.
• Keep records and compile reports.
• Manage repairs and safety in the workplace.
• Provide training and manage HR-related matters.
• Willingness to work overtime and shifts as needed.

2. Driver (Light Duty Vehicle)

• Salary: R131 265 per annum
• Centre: Northern/Tygerberg Sub-structure
• Closing Date: 25 October 2024

Requirements:

• Minimum educational qualification: Basic literacy and numeracy.
• Appropriate experience in transporting passengers and goods in a health environment.
• Valid Code B/EB driver’s license and Public Driving Permit (PDP).
• Ability to work overtime, on standby, and during weekends/public holidays.
• Knowledge of road networks and safe driving skills.

Duties:

• Transport passengers, packages, medication, goods, and equipment.
• Maintain vehicle logs and ensure vehicle cleanliness.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Perform routine administrative duties and respond to emergencies.
