Salary: R183,279 – R215,892 per annum (plus service benefits)

Job Overview

The Cape Winelands TB Centre is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee cleaning and household operations within the hospital environment.

Minimum Requirements

✔ Education: Grade 9 (GETC) or equivalent qualification.
✔ Experience: Relevant cleaning and household experience in a hospital setting, including the use of cleaning equipment and stock management.
✔ Knowledge:

• Infection Control Procedures
• Provincial Food Service Policies
• Disciplinary Code of Conduct
• Safety and Hygiene Standards
• Inventory & Stock Control

Key Responsibilities

✅ Coordinate daily housekeeping operations and ensure efficient resource utilization.
✅ Supervise cleaning staff, ensuring high hygiene and cleanliness standards.
✅ Ensure the proper handling, storage, and distribution of hospital linen.
✅ Support HR functions, including training and performance management.
✅ Maintain stock control of cleaning supplies and ensure their proper use.
✅ Work within a high-risk environment, handling blood, infectious materials, medical waste, and contaminated linen.
✅ Operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment.

Work Conditions

✔ Shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
✔ Overtime may be required based on operational needs.

✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-risk medical environment.
