Key Responsibilities

As a General Worker, your role will focus on cleaning and refuse-related tasks. Duties may include any or all of the following:

  • Street Cleaning and Sweeping — Clean streets, pavements, and public areas using brooms, shovels, and litter-picking tools.
  • Refuse Bag Handling — Collect filled refuse bags, place them on pavements for collection, and handle spillages safely.
  • Bin Delivery and Stacking — Collect new or replacement bins from central stores, deliver them to customers, and stack refuse bags according to prescribed standards.
  • Cleaning Bins and Equipment — Clean all bins and maintain hygiene standards.
  • General Housekeeping — Maintain cleanliness in work areas, depots, and public spaces.
  • Safety and Compliance — Always wear protective clothing, follow safety procedures, and report incidents or equipment issues to the Team Leader.
