Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for the following core duties (among others):

• Maintain a high level of hygiene in and around SAPS premises, including inner and outer areas.
• Perform routine cleaning services such as dusting, polishing furniture and floors, vacuuming carpets, and mopping tile floors.
• Remove refuse and ensure proper waste disposal.
• Clean bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-traffic areas thoroughly.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks in and around the assigned premises.
• Safekeep and handle cleaning aids and equipment responsibly.
• Load and unload goods as required.
• Provide garden maintenance services where applicable.
• Wash and clean state vehicles, kitchenware, and utensils.
• Adhere to occupational health and safety protocols at all times.
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or shortages to the supervisor.
• Work cooperatively with the team to meet daily cleaning targets.

Minimum Requirements

• ABET Level 4 / Grade 9 / Standard 7 or equivalent (NQF Level 1).
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
