Daily Wage: R311.00 (as per EPWP rates)

About the Opportunity
The Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) is offering two positions for dedicated and hardworking individuals to join Groenkloof National Park as Skilled Environmental Monitors.
This is a fixed-term contract designed to provide valuable work experience while supporting conservation and environmental management efforts within South African National Parks (SANParks).
Minimum Requirements
✅ Grade 12 (Matric)
✅ 1–2 years of cleaning experience
✅ Experience in stock taking
✅ Knowledge of First Aid and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS)
✅ Good hygiene practices and strong attention to detail
✅ Must be punctual, neat, and responsible
✅ Ability to work under pressure and follow instructions
✅ Must comply with OHS regulations
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning of offices, ablutions, reception areas, passages, and open spaces

Prepare boardrooms and meeting areas, including refreshments setup

Report abnormalities and ensure issues are corrected promptly
-
Handle lost property in line with official procedures
-
Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated areas
-
Monitor and control cleaning materials and stock
-
Maintain high cleaning standards across all facilities
-
Respond to emergency or relief schedules as directed

Replenish consumable items (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.)

Assist with stock receiving, issuing, and monthly stock taking

Perform ad hoc tasks as required by the supervisor
