The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of soiled and clean linen between health institutions while ensuring compliance with all operational procedures and vehicle maintenance standards. Key Responsibilities Transport & Delivery: Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of clean linen to health institutions. Loading & Unloading: Assist with the loading and offloading of trucks. Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, perform basic maintenance, and report defects promptly. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date logbooks. Compliance: Adhere to departmental transportation policies and procedures. Safety & Cleanliness: Ensure vehicles are kept clean, tidy, and in good working condition. Support Duties: Provide assistance to the Transport Officer as required. Minimum Requirements Valid Code C Driver’s License with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP). Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Proven experience in operating heavy-duty vehicles. Physically fit to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and moving heavy loads. Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and be on standby for after-hours and public holidays. Skills & Competencies Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent safe driving techniques and road safety awareness. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and ability to follow schedules.
