Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for the following core duties (among others):

  • Welcome customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude.
  • Suggest items, specials, and promotions to enhance the customer experience.
  • Handle customer complaints, queries, and concerns professionally and escalate serious issues to the manager.
  • Provide great customer service with a positive and helpful attitude at all times.
  • Communicate with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Use the cash register or computer to ring up orders accurately.
  • Process different forms of payment including cash, debit cards, and credit cards.
  • Balance the cash register, perform cash counts, and monitor cash levels.
  • Bag, box, or wrap products neatly and efficiently.
  • Follow company rules, ways of working, and store standards.
  • Receive, verify, and unpack new stock.
  • Assist customers with orders over the counter and over the phone.
  • Bring orders to customers at windows, counters, or tables.
  • Make sure orders are packed, labelled, and look good.
  • Manage phone orders by answering calls quickly and professionally.
  • Keep the front of house clean and organised during your shift.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • Experience as a Front of House, Team Member, or Cashier (advantageous).
  • Must live within 15km from Lotus River.
