Detailed Duties and Responsibilities

As a Cleaner, your role will focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the institute. Key responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning offices, corridors, elevators, boardrooms, and training facilities by dusting and waxing furniture.
  • Sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Vacuuming and shampooing carpets and upholstery as required.
  • Cleaning walls, windows, doors, and other surfaces thoroughly.
  • Emptying and cleaning waste bins, collecting and removing waste paper for proper disposal.
  • Freshening office areas to ensure a pleasant working environment.
  • Cleaning general kitchens, including basins, and washing and storing kitchen utensils.
  • Maintaining restrooms by refilling hand wash liquid soap, replacing toilet paper, hand towels, and air fresheners.
  • Emptying and washing waste bins in ablution facilities.
  • Keeping and maintaining cleaning materials and equipment in good condition.
  • Reporting broken cleaning machines and equipment promptly.
  • Cleaning machines (such as vacuum cleaners) and equipment after use.
  • Requesting cleaning materials to ensure continuous availability.
  • Performing any other reasonable cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned by the supervisor.
