Key Responsibilities As a Cashier, you will be responsible for accurate financial transactions and record-keeping. Your main duties will include: Payments Received – Cash and Cheques Receiving and counting cash and cheques as per specifications. Recording payments and ensuring customer receipts balance with teller mate slips. Depositing cash and cheques into the Drop Safe and recording transactions in the Drop Safe Register (signed by security, cashier, and driver). Capturing all cash and cheques received in the Cash Receipt report. Made-Up Deposits Preparing cash and cheques for banking according to specifications. Recording made-up deposits in the Deposit Register as per SOP. Handing over cash to the cash company service provider and obtaining signatures. Bank Deposit Receipts & Reconciliations Ensuring bank deposit receipts balance 100% with the Deposit Register returned by the cash company. Conducting daily cash and cheque reconciliations that are 100% accurate and balance with system records. Rectifying any anomalies according to specifications. Maintaining proper filing of all financial documentation. General Administration & Compliance Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and food safety standards. Supporting the admin team with additional tasks as required. Maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity in all financial processes.
