General Assistant: Fruit & Veg

Location: Food Lovers Pinehurst, Cape Town

Reporting To: Fruit & Veg Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Customer Interaction: Act as the first point of contact, assisting customers with their grocery purchases.
• Store Maintenance: Ensure the Fruit & Veg area is clean, well-maintained, and efficiently running.
• Product Management: Prepare sale displays, stock products, ensure accurate labeling, and handle customer orders.
• Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by helping customers find products and making purchasing decisions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Matric
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in fresh produce
• Additional Experience: Proven customer service or retail experience is advantageous.

Key Duties:

• Assist customers with their needs and guide them to appropriate aisles.
• Ensure the store is clean, safe, and organized.
• Stock and replace products, prepare displays, and ensure accurate product labeling.
• Order out-of-stock products and handle near expiry items with special promotions.

• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
