Minimum Requirements

1. Gardening and Grounds Maintenance

• Maintain lawns, flowerbeds, trees and pathways around the museum.
• Water plants, remove weeds, prune shrubs and trees, and mow grass.
• Sweep outdoor areas and remove garden waste.
• Relocate plants and trees when required.
• Assist with the care and pest control of the museum’s cycad collection.
• Clean paved surfaces using high-pressure cleaning equipment.

2. Cleaning and General Maintenance

• Keep benches, signs, bins, storerooms and public spaces neat and presentable.
• Look after gardening tools and equipment.
• Report broken or faulty tools and maintenance problems, including leaks and damaged lights.
• Provide cleaning services in exhibition rooms, workshops and storage areas.
• Support caretakers and cleaners when assistance is needed.

3. Museum Exhibitions and Events

• Help move and set up exhibition materials, furniture, showcases and display cases.
• Assist with assembling and maintaining museum displays and exhibition structures under supervision.
• Arrange chairs, tables and equipment for school visits, talks and community events.
