Who Can Apply?

To qualify for this YES Youth Opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

Eligibility Requirements:

• Aged between 18 and 28 years old.
• Completed Matric / Grade 12 (preferable).
• Currently unemployed.
• Must not have been employed permanently with a single employer for more than 1 year.
• Must not be studying full-time during the period April 2026 – March 2027.
• Must not have participated in or been registered on the YES programme before.
• Available and willing to work a fixed-term 12-month contract.
• Accommodation and transportation are on the applicant’s own account.

Preference will be given to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.

No previous retail experience is required — full training will be provided.

What You Will Do

As a YES participant, you will be placed in various retail roles across TFG stores. Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing excellent customer service and assisting shoppers.
• Merchandising products and maintaining visual standards.
• Processing sales transactions accurately.
• Supporting store operations, stock management, and housekeeping.
• Participating in promotional activities and seasonal campaigns.
• Learning about retail systems, inventory, and sales processes.
