Programme Overview
The Truworths Stores Learnership is designed to equip participants with the skills to excel as cross-trained sales consultants. Learners will work a minimum of 120 hours, combining theoretical training with hands-on experience on the sales floor and service desk. Key focus areas include customer service, stock management, and store operations, preparing you for roles such as shop assistant or cashier. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate of completion and a reference letter, enhancing future job prospects with Truworths or other retailers. While employment is not guaranteed, many graduates secure permanent roles due to their practical experience and training.
Key Responsibilities
As a learner, you will:

Customer Service: Assist customers in finding merchandise, providing product information, and addressing inquiries to enhance their shopping experience.

Merchandising: Arrange stock according to Truworths’ Merchandise Best Practice (MBP) principles to create an appealing store environment.

Point of Sale (POS): Process payments and purchases accurately using the POS system.

Stock Control: Maintain and control stock to minimize losses and ensure availability.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Truworths Stores Learnership, you must meet the following criteria:
