Key Responsibilities

As a Store Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and professional delivery of goods to customers. Your daily duties will include:

• Safely transporting products to customer locations in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
• Ensuring the correct products are delivered to the correct customer at the agreed time.
• Prioritising fridge-line and temperature-sensitive deliveries using cooler boxes and cold packs.
• Planning and using the shortest, most efficient routes to maximise productivity.
• Returning to the store immediately after each delivery to enable multiple trips per shift.
• Repacking the vehicle after every delivery to prevent stock damage.
• Taking full accountability for any damages or losses during the delivery process.
• Handling fragile and hazardous products with special care.
• Completing all delivery paperwork accurately and obtaining customer signatures.
• Processing payments (cash and EFT) where required.
• Maintaining an accurate vehicle logbook and completing all necessary documentation.
• Keeping the company vehicle clean, neat, and well-maintained at all times.
• Conducting pre-trip, during-trip, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Reporting any vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents immediately to management.
• Collecting returns, store transfers, and inter-branch items when required.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with both internal teams and external customers.
• Reporting customer feedback, complaints, or compliments to management.
• Adhering strictly to the National Road Traffic Act and company vehicle policy.
• Ensuring the vehicle is never left unattended during deliveries.

Minimum Requirements

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Valid Driver’s Licence (with a clean driving record).

• South African citizen with a clear criminal and credit record.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy boxes.
• Presentable appearance and strong command of the English language.
