Position Purpose
Develop/configure ICT SAP Materials Management solutions to meet business requirements effectively, efficiently, on time, and with the required quality assurance.
Position Outputs
- Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with ICT functional areas for solution consumption using digital platforms.
- Research, analyze, and design proof-of-concept solutions using digital technologies.
- Document solution requirements and specifications for new and existing digital solutions.
- Participate in delivering Solution/Application Architecture and Integration Architecture deliverables.
- Research emerging application development best practices, languages, and standards.
- Operational Management:
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application development best practices.
- Produce quality technical specifications aligned with architectural standards.
- Develop optimized digital and mobile solutions based on technical specifications.
- Enhance existing solutions to become more digitally focused.
- Ensure quality assurance on work delivered.
- Perform unit testing and participate in integration testing and User Acceptance Testing.
- Enable continuous Integration and Deployment of Digital solutions using DevOps principles.
- Perform production support and incident analysis to identify trends and improvements.
- Recommend and schedule software improvements and upgrades.
- Acquisition and Implementation:
- Build relationships with software development teams and other departmental teams.
- Engage with contracted software vendors to leverage leading digital technologies.
- Participate in workshops with business users and departmental team members.
- Conduct research on emerging solution development best practices.
- Develop and implement upgrade plans through the solution lifecycle.
- Team Management:
- Manage team members to align with delivery requirements and production support.
- Lead incident and problem resolution.
- Mentor team members and champion Agile/DevOps culture.
- Create a culture of support and trust within the team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualifications:
- Related B Degree or BTech in Information Technology
- SAP MM Certification
- Certification in ITIL Foundation or ITIL Service Management
- Beneficial Certifications: ITIL Intermediate levels, TOGAF, COBIT, ISO 20000, Agile, DevOps, Lean ROC
- Experience:
- 6 years’ experience in a direct or related specialized field.
- 8 years relevant and solid experience in supervising activities, diagnostic, and quality of workflow and procedures.
- 3 years at supervisory/managerial level or specialist experience.
- General:
- Valid Code 08 driver’s license
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours when required.

- Knowledge of Technical System Architecture, Agile SDLC methodologies, DevOps, and SDLC processes.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Understanding of governance and best practice processes (COBIT/ITIL/ISO 20000).
- Ability to manage ICT operations teams and third-party service providers.
- Strong strategic and tactical planning capabilities.
- Proven leadership and transformation management skills.
