Job Purpose

The Reach Truck Driver is responsible for the accurate picking, storing, and movement of stock within the warehouse. All legislative safety standards must be adhered to at all times. It is of vital importance that the Reach Truck Driver maintains their equipment and keeps it in proper working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Move pallets of stock within the warehouse
• Perform inbound stock movement – from Freezer receiving floor to allocated bin, bin to bin, and Surge floor to allocated Freezer bin
• Handle a Radio Frequency (RF) console for the safe storage and retrieval of stock and confirmation of pallets in bins
• Perform outbound stock movement – accurate picking of stock from Freezer to Outbound Floor, manual picking of frozen cases within the Freezer, and placement of the balance of stock in allocated bins
• Safely handle and operate the Reach Truck
• Maintain battery life on the Reach Truck through daily checking and changing when required
• Tidy as you go and maintain and adhere to warehouse hygiene and safety requirements
• Manually stack stock when required
• Take part in quarterly or daily cyclic warehouse counts
• Be able to work shifts, including weekend work
• Multitask effectively
• Perform ad hoc duties as required

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
• Knowledge of RF Unit and scanning
