Salary:

• R131,265 per annum

Location:

• Tygerberg Hospital, Parow Valley

Requirements:

• Minimum Requirement: Basic numeracy and literacy.
• Experience: Appropriate experience in a health sector porter service.
• Inherent Requirements:
  • Willingness to work shifts and report for duty at 6:30 (including weekends).
  • Willingness to handle bodies (corpses).
  • Ability to handle heavy objects.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours as needed.
• Competencies:
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties:

• Transport patients and corpses.
• Transport blood specimens from various wards to various laboratories and vice versa.
• Assist with loading patients in and out of ambulances, vehicles, beds, trolleys, or wheelchairs.
• Responsible for collecting and cleaning wheelchairs, trolleys, and blood hampers.
