Job Overview: Pick n Pay is offering a Degree Graduate Internship in the Retail Sector, specifically within the Supply Chain department. This is a 12-month opportunity with the potential for permanent employment upon successful completion of the internship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to security and merchandise display standards.
• Perform regular quality checks, stock rotation, and removal of damaged/expired stock.
• Prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damages.
• Verify accurate pricing and label updates.
• Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.
• Assist in planning and implementing sales promotions.
• Provide customer assistance and product information.
• Monitor budgets and profitability, and take necessary actions.
• Manage stock levels and optimize ordering processes.
• Supervise and manage employees to maintain performance standards.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in fields such as Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Logistics, or Supply Chain.

Required Competencies:

• Performance management and coaching abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to handle urgent matters and prioritize effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of financial concepts.

Additional Requirements:

• South African citizen or valid work permit.
• Commitment to a 12-month internship.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Nice to have: Driver’s License.

Contract & Remuneration:

• Contract Length: 12-month contract, renewable based on performance.
• Stipend: R5250 per month.
