Role Overview: Feeder Driver
As a Feeder Driver, you will be responsible for efficient product delivery, maintaining vehicle standards, and ensuring excellent customer service while adhering to health, safety, and quality regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stock Management:
- Load and deliver stock as per the invoice or picking list.
- Ensure accurate and correct stock delivery to customers.
- Handle buybacks and returns while keeping accurate records using handheld devices.
2. Vehicle Maintenance & Presentation:
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance and checks.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and organized inside and out.
3. Customer Interaction:
- Provide professional proof of delivery (PODs).
- Maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication.
4. Operational Excellence:
- Guide and manage the delivery assistant for operational efficiency.
- Comply with health, safety, and security regulations, including wearing PPE.
- Follow traffic regulations and route schedules.
Qualifications and Skills
Education & Licensing:
- Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
- Valid Code 14 (Code EC) license with Horse & Trailer experience.
- Professional Driving Permit (PDP) required.
Technical Proficiency:
- Experience with a Handheld Computer Device (HHC).
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in a similar role.
Core Competencies:
- Results-driven and able to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, especially in customer interactions.
- Adaptability and flexibility to workplace changes.
