Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems
• Perform access control (verify IDs, manage entry/exit, enforce site rules)
• Respond promptly to incidents, alarms and emergencies
• De-escalate situations where possible
• Maintain accurate logs of patrols, incidents and observations
• Identify and report hazards
• Protect people, property and information
• Adhere to the PSIRA Code of Conduct and client site SOPs

Shifts: Typically 12-hour rotational shifts (day/night), often 6 days per week (site-dependent).

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
• Valid PSIRA registration (minimum Grade C)
• Clear criminal record
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong observational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays

Advantageous:

• Previous security operations experience
• Firearm competency
• Valid driver’s licence
• First Aid / CPR certification
