Company Overview

The South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) is a juristic body established by section 2 of the Project and Construction Management Professions Act (Act No. 48 of 2000). Its purpose is to provide statutory professional certification, registration, and regulation of Project and Construction Management Professions to protect public interest.

Position Overview

We are seeking an Administrator Invoicing in the Finance department to execute transactions related to invoicing with accuracy and timeliness, following relevant processes, frameworks, and guidelines.

Role Responsibilities

  1. Perform financial administration of applicant registration payments.
  2. Administer invoicing processes.
  3. Resolve financial queries and anomalies.
  4. Verify all source documents and information.
  5. Update fees on the system.
  6. Prepare monthly revenue reports.
  7. Maintain internal control with regard to revenue management.
  8. Perform required revenue reconciliations.
  9. Prepare documented journal entries for approval, ensuring financial accuracy.
  10. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and validity of invoices generated.
  11. Assist Junior Accountant with audit activity coordination, including preparing schedules and reconciliations.
  12. Assist clients with queries.
  13. Perform physical asset verification (semi-annual and annual).
  14. Update fixed asset register and asset inventory forms.
  15. Prepare asset-related documentation (disposal, asset movement forms).
  16. Barcode assets and maintain the asset register.
  17. Impose late penalty fees as needed.
  18. Implement the debt collection strategy by following up on unpaid debts and sending monthly statements to clients.

Key Skills Required

  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in invoicing and financial transactions.
  • Data Analytics Proficiency: Ability to analyze and interpret data effectively.
  • Customer Service Skills: Communicate effectively with clients and address their queries.
  • Organizational Skills: Maintain proper documentation and adhere to deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software: Manage financial data efficiently using relevant tools.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Work well with other team members and departments.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with clients and colleagues.

Key Qualifications Required

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Diploma in Accounting (recognized qualification).
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an invoice clerk or in general accounting.
