Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for the following core duties (among others):

• Render gardening services to maintain a high level of hygiene and aesthetics in and around SAPS premises.
• Perform routine cleaning services including dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Maintain gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas through weeding, watering, pruning, and general upkeep.
• Remove refuse and ensure proper waste disposal.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks in and around the assigned premises.
• Clean bathrooms, kitchens, and other high-traffic areas as required.
• Safekeep and handle cleaning aids and equipment responsibly.
• Load and unload goods when necessary.
• Assist with general facility maintenance and ad-hoc tasks.
• Adhere to occupational health and safety protocols at all times.
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or shortages to the supervisor.
• Work cooperatively with the team to meet daily targets.

Minimum Requirements

• ABET Level 4 / Grade 9 / Standard 7 or equivalent (NQF Level 1).
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
