Minimum Requirements

• NQF Level 1 or 2 (ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent)
• Ability to read and write
• Basic food preparation knowledge
• Basic hygiene principles
• Ability to operate food service equipment
• Interpersonal skills

Key Duties

• Clean and keep stock of kitchen utensils and equipment
• Provide catering support services, including:
  • Preparing food, snacks and beverages (water, hot and cold beverages)
  • Confirming/updating boardroom bookings
  • Serving food and beverages
  • Taking responsibility for food supplies
  • Reporting waste and losses
  • Maintaining quality control measures of all food provided
• Apply hygiene and safety measures
• Take responsibility for cleaning materials and supplies
• Handle removal of garbage disposal
