Introduction

SPAR North Rand, a subsidiary of The SPAR Group Ltd, is looking for a Supervisor, CASHIER, AND CLEANERS for its Business’s performance Fulfillment Center.

THE OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION To ensure the most effective, efficient, and accurate preparation of all export documentation, while also ensuring that the Cross-Border operation is carried out in the most cost-effective manner possible, including labor costs and staff utilization, and by adhering strictly to export procedure and best operating practices.

Detailed job description

To avoid exceeding objectives by minimizing shortages and vehicle damage.

To maintain adequate management over absenteeism, training requirements, overtime, and leave days.

Ensure that the Cross-Border dispatch floor operation is carried out in the most cost-effective manner feasible, taking into account labor costs and staff utilization.

Attend a cross-border meeting with all stakeholders, including those from exporting countries.

Assignment of check sheets to all loaders.

Trailer allocation on the AS400 system.

Report loading time to the Cross-Border Team Leader.

Notify the Cross-Border Team Leader and the Comms Centre of the closed loading path and time.

Ensure that the right paperwork is obtained from the communications center and that totals are verified against the check sheet.

Ensure that the route trip sheet and gate pass are appropriately filled out, taking into account the right fleet allocation.

Minimumrequirements

A strong personality combined with organizational abilities.

The ability to use a computer is required.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Extremely goal-oriented and analytical.

Must demonstrate initiative.

The ability to work independently and be self-motivated is required.

The ability to operate under tremendous pressure is required.

The ability to work shifts and weekends is required.

Introduction

A position has become available for a Retail Store Manager to join our dynamic team, based in Bredasdorp – Western Cape.

Job description

 

The purpose of the Retail Store Manager is to manage the functions of a Sustainable Retail establishment in order to achieve the objectives of the business while addressing the expectations of the stakeholders.
The individual will be responsible for the functions of all departments of the store and for brand-building exercises relating to the store.
Upholding the image and building the reputation of the store ought to be the key responsibilities of this role.
Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing the functions of all departments of the store.

Manage shrinkage levels to within the company targeted ratio.

Implement policies and procedures in order to minimize stock loss.

Strategizing sales and marketing plans to drive sales into the store.

Recruiting and training employees of the store.

Negotiating with suppliers and vendors.

Allocating budgets and planning the finances of the store.

Evaluating sale reports and customer feedback.

Planning new implementations and ideas to increase the footfall of the store.

Controlling the store inventory and ensuring the maintenance of the standards of goods.

Studying market reports and competitor strategies.

Setting sales targets for the sales teams and periodically reviewing the same.

Good comprehension of the HR function and disciplinary procedures.

Develop the skills of the management team

Minimum requirements

 

A Matric Certificate

At least 3 years of experience within Retail at a senior level

A clear criminal record

High level of energy with strong customer service skills

Have a high level of integrity

Have strong problem-solving skills

Be able to manage staff

Be able to work under pressure

Be able to be firm and resolute in decisions

Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints

Prepared to work shifts and long hours
