Job Purpose – Sales Associate (120hr)

As a Sales Associate, you will be a brand ambassador for Totalsports, delivering exceptional customer experiences while driving sales performance. You will assist customers in finding the right products, exceed sales targets, and ensure the store is always customer-ready.


Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will include:

Customer Experience & Sales

  • Delivering outstanding customer service at all times

  • Identifying customer needs and offering the best product solutions

  • Exceeding customer expectations through expert advice and engagement

  • Actively seeking opportunities to increase sales and conversion

  • Building long-term customer loyalty

Sales Performance

  • Tracking individual sales performance against set targets

  • Contributing to store turnover and profitability

  • Demonstrating strong negotiation and selling skills

Product Knowledge & Merchandising

  • Selling a diverse range of sportswear, footwear, and accessories

  • Keeping up to date with the latest sports, décor, and fashion trends

  • Assisting with stock replenishment to ensure shelves are always full

  • Ensuring the store is visually appealing and customer-ready

Operational Excellence

  • Adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate

  • Previous retail or sales experience (advantageous but not essential)
